Field Service Technician

 

Copytronics Information Systems, an industry leader since 1972, is currently seeking Field Service Technicians to join our team! As a Field Service Technician within the Copytronics family, you must demonstrate exceptional dedication to our customers. Konica/Minolta experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to provide extensive training to the right candidate(s) with a desire to succeed. "Can-do" and "will-do" attitude is a MUST!

Essential Activities:

  • Repair, install and maintain office product equipment and systems within an established territory.  Product/equipment includes: black & white, color, analog and digital copiers, printers, facsimile equipment, multifunctional, wide-format and connected products, document management solutions and related software
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and repair timely using diagnostic tools and service aids
  • Perform machine factory modifications and software/operating system(s) upgrades of equipment to ensure optimum performance
  • Estimate parts and labor for repair for non-contract customers and/or parts/repairs not covered under warranty or contract
  • Complete and submit service tickets on-time and error-free
  • Provide accurate feedback with call-close information
  • Manage parts inventory and territory to comply with company standards
  • Maintain toolkit, supplies and up-to-date service manuals
  • Provide sales support as required
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Support and actively participate in promotion of company products and services
  • Participate in on-going training classes/programs
  • Aid and assist other departments, branches and technicians as required
  • Perform all other duties/assignments as required by supervisor

To be considered for a Field Service Technician position, you must also posses the following:

  • Valid Class E Driver License
  • Reliable Transportation
  • Must be able to travel within assigned territory, lift up to 70 pounds, stand for long periods and be in mobile activity (walking/standing/stooping/kneeling) more than 50% of the time
  • Must <!--[if gte mso 9]> <![endif]--><!--[if gte mso 10]> <![endif]-->possess some knowledge of computers and electronics
  • Skilled at performing complex disassembly and reassembly
  • Should demonstrate a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage time, meet deadlines and efficiently maintain the proper functionality of the equipment
  • Ability to distinguish colors
  • Must have the ability to read, write and speak English
