In June of 1972, Paul Shields moved to Jacksonville, Florida with his family, $1,500.00 to invest, and a copier dealership contract in his pocket. He set up shop as Copytronics, Inc. with one employee and managed to sell $150,000 during the first year. Those sales numbers doubled each year, then in 1975 broke the million-dollar barrier.
